Honey In Training

We are walking in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life as part of Team Nitro Circus (we had no part in choosing that name!). Honey Ham has been training. HARD. Honey is walking in memory of her grandpa that she never met (my Dad, Robert). He was an amazing, generous, funny, smart and loving man who just so happened to be the best father in the world and a damn good golfer. He was taken by cancer much too soon and there isn't a day that goes by that we don't think of him. So we will walk this June in the Relay For Life for him as well as for all the friends and family that have fought, or are currently fighting, this miserable disease.

Back to Honey training. She starts off very strong. A slow galloping waddle.

Then she starts to slow down.

And she's out!

We are working on it. Good thing we have until June to work on our conditioning. I think Honey needs another protein shake.

If you would like to make a donation in support of us and our Relay For Life team you can click the button above. That should take you to the website and allow you to donate.

Please support the American Cancer Society and the Relay For Life. Who doesn't know someone with cancer? Its scary.

We Really Should Walk More

But....

Honey always ends up needing a full blown bath immediately after her walks. Thats not fun.

The walk started out nice enough.

Photobucket

Then this happened. Not too bad, its just snow. I guess she wanted to cool off.

Then things got ugly and this happened.

She laid in it, rolled around it, splashed in it, nearly pulled me in with her! She made a great big old Honey Ham pig mess. Passing cars pointed and laughed, but she didn't care. I think people felt sorry for me. I wish I could have gotten a good "after" picture of her post-puddle.

It was kind like that time she rolled around in a horse manure puddle, only less smelly.

Lucky me!

Is everyone really Irish on St. Patrick's Day?

Even English Bulldogs? YES!!!!

Personalize funny videos and birthday eCards at JibJab!

Its March and that means Honey's favorite holiday is almost here. St. Patrick's Day!

It's only her favorite holiday because she gets to march in a parade. Picture a whole pack of snorting, heavily breathing, drooling, burping bulldogs doing that special shuffle/waddle that they are know for. I know - its awesome!

Of course, Honey just eats it all up. She loves hearing people clap and cheer as she (and the other bullies) march by. We think she takes the whole thing really seriously. Here she is last year.

Photobucket

We have this years outfit all picked out, having added a few new festive accessories. If you are local and interested in attending this years parade to support The Ham, please email me for info. It really is a fun day. We can't wait to see all our two-legged and four-legged friends there!

Reason #856 Honey Ham Is A Genius!

I'm telling you, Honey is a genius. Not only was she blessed with good looks, but the girl has brains too.

See, when we get a decent amount of snow like we just did (YAY for two snow days in a row!), its often too deep for Honey to travel over/through/on. So what does our little genius do? She has figured out that closest to the house has the least amount of snow. Therefore, it is much easier for her to walk along the house in order for her to find a spot to take care of business.

Here is a picture before the blizzard was in full swing.

Photobucket

Now over a foot has fallen. See all the puppy paw prints next to the house? That is Honey's trail.

Photobucket

Sophia may not be as smart as Honey since she
chooses to just dive head first into any snow
she can find. Thats OK. Honey likes her anyway.

Honey Ham Says Hello

Honey Ham says hello, and thank you, to her new friends at the Farmingdale Village Courts. The ladies there were very helpful and nice to Honey's daddy.

(It sounds like he did something bad to be involved with the courts, but he didn't! We swear!)
