Afternoon Light

We love these two pictures of Honey Ham we caught the other day in the afternoon light. She is sitting on her "napping" rug that is in front of the sliding doors overlooking the backyard.

She is just staring back there. If we had to guess what was in her puppy head, we think she is probably wishing it was summer, the pool was open and she was lounging on a chair after one of her swims. Us too Ham, us too.

Completely Unrelated

I have lots of little pots on my kitchen windowsill where I try to grow things. I forgot what I planted in this one, but look how perfect it is.

And because it is Honey Hams world and we just live in it...

This was my spot on the bed. Was. Why shouldn't Honey Ham push me out of bed on a Saturday morning? She works so hard, she deserves to sleep late. Every. Single. Day.

Honey Ham The Hoarder

Is Honey Ham a hoarder? Please see exhibits A-M below.

A. Very old squeaky ball with little nubs that no longer squeaks

C. Stolen green bone that Grandma F gave Sophia for Christmas

G-M. Random toys hidden under the mattress of her bed

Also not pictured is the pile of "fight toys" on top of the refrigerator. That is the place where toys that incite fights between Honey and Sophia go to stay until they forget about them. Honey can often be found whining at the foot of the refrigerator. Just waiting - or is it plotting - to reclaim her toys.

There is no denying that Honey Ham (and Sophia) are lucky to have so many toys, but must Ham hoard them all?

Happy Hour

Just another Friday happy hour at the vet!

Everyone is fine. Honey Ham had a goopy eye.

Super goopy and irritated looking and being the paranoid bulldog parents we are, to the vet we went. Giant baby Ham sat in my lap.

We saw a really nice doctor who told us that she went to the University of Georgia and was one of Uga's vet's! She looked at Ham's eyes and did a couple of tests. Good news, no scratch on her eye and she has excellent tear production. No dry eye here! We got a diagnosis of conjunctivitis, got some meds and were on our way. We will hopefully be goop free very soon!

(Just a little scale victory to report as well - Ham is down one pound since her last visit! She knows bathing suit season is just around the corner!!)

A Secret Admirer?

We have to send a very, very special thank you to whomever sent Honey Ham the most awesome box full of bulldog treats and toys! If there is one thing that brings Ham joy it is opening presents!

We aren't sure who sent it, but we are sure that we LOVED receiving it! It was a nice bright spot to our otherwise dreary week.
